The large, heavy, railroad ties used as posts for the old fence, were too big for the Middle School boys to carry, but Michael, who lives at "The Gardens," and Vladimir, who works for Dr. Graybill and the Community Outreach Department, teamed up with the six boys to make the work easy.

Neighborhood students, doing their weekly "neighborhood service" help Sue and Valdimir, employees of Loma Linda University Medical Center's Community Outreach Department, pull out old fence posts so a brand new fence can be erected around the Norton Gardens, LLUMC's after-school site on Norman Road in San Bernardino.
