Norton Neighborhoods

This blog tells the story of the Norton Neighborhoods Initiative, a venue and a vision for community development in the southeastern part of the City of San Bernardino, California, around the former Norton Air Force Base (now San Bernardino International Airport). The project is facilitated by Ronald Graybill, PhD, Community Outreach Director for Loma Linda University Medical Center. For more info, see http://www.healthycities.com

The rare and endangered Santa Ana River Woolly Star is blooming in profusion at the east end of Palm Meadows Drive in San Bernardino--between the Santa Ana River Levee and the now-closed golf course. The Eco-Elite Youth Empowerment program at The Gardens will involve neighborhood youth in writing interpretive signs about such plants for the section of Santa Ana River Trail soon to be completed in the area. Posted by Hello
