Pansies now line the front walkway in the yard at The Gardens, a site that started out covered with tumbleweeds three years ago. A School of Nursing student helps during 100 Acts of Caring.

School of Nursing students from Carole Donovan's (center) Critical Care class help salvage some usable lumber at the Children's Learning Gardens after-school site during 100 Acts of Caring week. 

Not only did we learn the food value of pumpkins from Drs. Johnny Luu and Snigdha Das, our Pediatric Residents, but thanks to Paola Case, our Senior Youth Counselor, we had pumpkins for everyone to carve.

After learning about the value of pumpkins as food, Michelle works on her jack-o-lantern.

He has football practice on Tuesdays when most of the tutoring takes place at the Gardens, so an LLU Nursing student helps him with math and other homework on Wednesdays.
